2020 Reflections


As I began to think of an adequate post for the month of December I almost wrote off the post altogether. I mean, how many ways can you tell someone to enjoy their holiday and forget about their health/fitness journey for a few days???


But then I began to reflect on the year we've all had. Over the ups and downs and the COVID weight gain many of us have experienced. So in this last blog post of the disaster of a year we call 2020 I want to encourage you.


You've probably heard the saying "you've survived 100 percent of the bad situations you been through". Well baby we're almost there, we are staring at the finish line and I can't help but to wish for better days!


For normalcy, for relaxed family gatherings and birthday parties, for an abundance of toilet paper and sanitizing wipes! For gyms to be a safe place once more and for a vaccine that will eradicate this horrible disease that has taken so many of our friends, family members, and Americans. For black and indigenous lives to matter.


My final blog post of 2020 is simply You Got This! Look how far you've come through a global pandemic coupled with countless other tragedies! Look how you have managed to stay positive throughout an impossible situation. Look how you've stayed the course, or even picked back up, exercising even if your gym has been closed. December 31, 2020, let's all celebrate the end of a year that has taught us so much. Be safe and well and I look forward to seeing you all next year!!!! 🥂
